Diamond Art/Diamond Painting

So has anyone ever heard of something called Diamond Art or Diamond Painting? Its become my new obsessive hobby.

Diamond Art is where you stick these little diamond like jewels onto a pattern to look like a mosaic. You can go to Joann's craft store and purchase a kit. Which comes with everything that you would need to make these wonderful pieces of art, by yourself or maybe with the kiddos.

I myself have done many of the kits and find them peaceful and relaxing. At times they relieve my stress and allows me to release my creativity. Lately I have started drawing my own out on the blank canvas that you can buy I do things a little backwards. The front of the canvas is coated in a glue, so I cant draw my picture out on the front. What I like to do, is draw and color my picture of choice on the back of the canvas that way there is a little background color to go with the diamonds giving it a more filled in and completed look. Here is a picture of Alice in wonderland that I did for my husband.

So if you can sit for hours at a time and you don't mind little repetitive movements, then why not give Diamond Art/Diamond Painting a try. Let me know what you think.
